Kasteel Verloren

I came across a most breathtaking castle, Kasteel Verloren and spent hours exploring it. This is an amazing structure. I only examined about half of the main building and I must go back and explore the grounds.

Builder Versu Richeliue has given us plenty to explore, which is delightful of him. There are many ways to enter the grounds. When I entered, I was immediately confronted by a hedge maze. Longtime readers will know of my attempt at the Second Life hedge maze that the Lindens built for us. So I bypassed it and took the stairs.

The Kasteel is about luxurious living. If you own land in Second Life, you probably have a house on it. And based on the hundreds of homes I’ve seen, I’d expect that it is moderately sized and full of luxury goods.

But in Second Life, luxury goods are easy to come by. Diamonds? Large screen TVs? They are a click away. Land is expensive. Prims are expensive. Kastleel Verloren uses a lot of both.

This building makes your home look like a starter home. And frankly, that’s perfectly all right. In the Pursuit of Things one must either strive to ever have more or, hopefully, realize that the pursuit is hollow and that your efforts are better spent elsewhere.

On the other hand, it sure is golly good fun to gape about the place! Dinner, anyone?

And of course to serve a banquet you need a kitchen.

Ahh, my favorite!

There are many bedrooms and this one is presumably the master bedroom. And yes, this one room is larger than some entire homes I’ve visited.

You should see the shower and the sauna! Yes, this is a modern building. Don’t be alarmed if you see modern art mixed amongst the classic. I don’t know if anyone lives here but it has all the comforts of home, a very, very, nice home.

But it isn’t all about consumption, the spiritual side is represented as well. This richly appointed chapel was quite peaceful.

This is a big build and exploring it will take some time. Not all rooms are instantly accessible. One place needed to be flown into, I found one secret door that I could open and one that I couldn’t! So if have a good chunk of time, consider visiting Kasteel Verloren and see how the other half lives.

Hey Seekster, have you seen Caribbean Escapes? Lovely Island. But I am blown away by Bhelle Alacrity’s Thai style salas on one of the corners of the island. All gold and curlicues which glow in the dark. Check it out!

Hi Seekster, I’m enjoying your reviews, but alas, I don’t see the slruls for the places you describe. I’d be very helpful if you could include them in each review; that way people could teleport to the places mentioned and find out for themselves if they agree with you! Kind regards,

    Magnus Silverstar.

Oh my good sir, I do include the SURL in almost every article. In the last paragraph there is a link, just click that link. In this article, see the phrase “consider visiting Kasteel?” That’s the SURL.

Sorry for the confusion. I’ll try to be clearer in the future.
